Rubina,

I got an idea for a story once, and I outlined the whole thing, thinking that I would forget something crucial if I didn't. I never wrote the story. Why? Because, as you said, I knew how it was going to end.

I'm definitely a "pantser," but, having an outline (after the fact) helps me organize my thoughts.

Thanks for all you do!

And also thanks for writing this, I'd much rather read something than listen to it, but that's just me. :)

Hi Dave!

I too create my outline as I write my novel. This helps me keep track of what's going on with my characters and where I feel they are heading. (It also helps me keep track of what the characters are wearing and what's the weather - which I noticed I tend to change in every chapter😅)

You might enjoying reading "Writing Into The Dark" by Dean Wesley Smith. According to me, that's the Holy Book for Pantsers. 🌟

And I too prefer reading that listening, hence posted the written essay as well. Glad it came to your service.🙏

Regards,

Rubina
