Author’s Note 2:
I am going on a break for the whole month of December and half of January. Will be back on January 18th 2023, Wednesday.
I am currently reading If You Want to Write (1938) by Brenda Ueland.
And I came across her definition of Writing.
An impulse to share with other people a feeling or truth that I myself had. Not to preach to them, but give it to them if they cared to hear it. If they did not - fine. They did not need to listen. That was all right too.
Surprisingly (or it's the creative process in play here), I, too, came to this conclusion throughout this year.
I want to write what I see and what I feel. In part to understand it myself and help others see it from a different perspective.
I am not here to teach or preach about writing or about life. I want to share what I am learning and experiencing and how I am doing it to help you figure out your way.
This is also why I dislike the words "followers" and "writing coach" and instead prefer "friends" and "guide."
We, artists of all shapes and forms, want to share how we look at and feel about the world.
This doesn't mean one's definition of the world is better than the other.
It means and proves that the world and its inhabitants have different colours, and the definitions of all the artists create a fuller and more vivid picture.
And what we share won't resonate with everyone, but it will resonate with the right ones, which is enough.
