FAQs About Me
Answers to some questions you may have about me.
Who are you?
Hi! I am Rubina. Nice to meet you!☺️
No, who are you deep down?
I am an introverted soul trapped in a human body, living in an extroverted world.
What do you do?
I write.😁
No, seriously, what do you actually do?
I… write.😐
Ok, so you make a living by writing?
Not yet, but I will. ONE DAY!🙌
What do you write about?
In non-fiction, I write essays about lessons I learnt from life, books I loved, movies I adored, and things I understand about what it means to be a human and creative person/writer.
In fiction, I write short stories of mystery, suspense, thriller genres. And, in the future, I’ll be writing novels. I hope you like them!
How did you become a writer?
Before I answer that, you should first ask me how I became a reader.
Ok, how did you become a reader?
My love for books began in August 2007 when my mother introduced me to Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie.
It took me six months to complete the 363-page book called The Adventure of the Christmas Pudding. Yes, 6 months! I was a very slow and uninterested reader then.
After finishing that book, I was a completely new person. I became a reader!📚
Hmm, and how did you become a writer?
One Sunday in the summer of 2014, I finished Curtain by Agatha Christie and was lying in bed.
You know the feeling where you are staring at something, but you’re not actually looking at it? — you are simply lost somewhere else. That was me at that moment, staring at the ceiling fan and wondering what a fantastic storyteller Agatha Christie is. I was asking myself how Agatha Christie pulled this book off.
As I was doing that, a voice in my head said — “Wouldn’t it be amazing if I could make others feel the same way Agatha made me feel through her stories?”
That was my light bulb moment! It was at this moment I knew I wanted to become a writer!✍️
