If something doesn't work out on the first try, take a day/week/month/year break and try again later. The second time you might be in the right mindset with the right skills to pull it off.
My triggers will never go away, and the world around me won't stop poking me. Instead of feeling hostile towards it, I should take such circumstances up as a challenge to practice my resolve and resilience.
Go at a fast pace, and you'll crash and burn. Have no pace, and you'll stay stagnant. Go slowly, and you'll progress according to the rhythm of Nature and your nature.
The wise person I was always looking for... I am becoming that person.
Have a bird's eye view when it comes to goals and dreams. Don't obsess over the goals or get too personal with them.
Everything is working out in my favour.
Never go off routine for more than 2-3 days; it throws everything out of balance. If you're on a break/vacation, try to continue some of your routine.
If waking up at 5am, I need a nap later to recharge.
A spontaneous moment with a loved one is more important than sticking to the schedule and checking every box on the to-do list. We won't remember an accomplished to-do list, but we will remember the early morning impromptu drive and poha breakfast with your brother.
With the coming of smartphones, people, in general, have lost perspective. Now every one of every class thinks of themselves as celebrities. They believe they are above others and above the mundane. On the outside, they think and feel they have it all together and are intelligent and wise, but when the moment calls for it, they don't know what to do. This dual personality makes them very irritating to others and makes them superficial and hollow. People lack character, personality, integrity, passion, and enthusiasm these days. They want it all served on a silver platter. No wonder it is so difficult to find sustainable, reliable people. They are not sustainable and reliable to themselves; how can I expect them to be that for me?
It took me the accident to realise we don't give our bodies the credit they are due. Every day we are assaulting our bodies physically, mentally, emotionally, through food, people, thoughts and things, and our bodies are just taking every beating. We don't even realise how much effort our bodies need to perform essential functions. Then we are doing things that are not in our favour and making it more difficult for them.
When it comes to being productive as humans - you have to consider the people, place, things, weather, atmosphere, and environment around you. By nature, they fluctuate; therefore, it isn't easy to maintain a routine/schedule.
Sleep -
On time and good sleep = tomorrow's routine/schedule will be followed.
Not on time and/or no good sleep = willpower to stick to tomorrow's routine/schedule out the window.
Home alone = productive work day.
Reschedule your time and include rest.
Take risks based on knowledge.
Keep a positive mindset - know things are getting better.
You can't live like others and expect a different result.
There are many fine detectives. Well, that is not true. There are many average detectives. But to be what I am, it requires fixedness of mind. The little grey cells pampered, indulged, given all the oxygen in my blood and minutes on my clock.
- Hercule Poirot, Death on the Nile (2022)Be clear about your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs about prosperity.
At regular intervals throughout the year, reclarify your goals.
Take it one day at a time.
Money does buy happiness because it gives you the freedom to live the way you want.
I need spontaneous fun in my life.
I am a soul having a human experience.
I am on this planet to write whodunnit novels and help readers take a break from their busy and boring lives.
Grow your ability to trust yourself by making promises to yourself and fulfilling them.
Find harmony within yourself, and don't look to the outer world to provide certainty.
Obsessing anything negative/toxic isn't helpful. The energy of fear and worry only slows the eventual manifesting of your dreams.
Generally, humans can be disappointing - that's a fact. There's nothing good or bad about it. It's just about how you tackle it.
Best way to slow down time or doubles its value
Read a good book,
Watch a good movie,
Indulge in some crafts - cross-stitch, knitting, sketching,
Play with a kid or pet,
Go to the bookstore,
Conversation with your best friend over a cup of coffee,
Do something that has no deadline or end result to it.
You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it. You cannot attract a different experience without changing your energy first.
If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong.
Start the day with the main task of the day - the top priority; the rest can follow later.
"Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you."
― Anne LamottFocus on long-term, sustainable prosperity.
You are not alone. Your ancient ancestors and angels are with you. Creators and creatives who came before you and who you admire are with you. And you are finding your tribe among humans as well.
Even though you feel stuck, you're actually not. The Universe is working behind the scenes for you.
Stop saying old self-sabotaging stories.
People always notice if you're not your usual self. What they do about it or not is an entirely different story. Chances are people do understand you or what you are going through, but they don't know how to be there for you, so they don't say anything.
We shouldn't exist on what pains us. We should thrive on what makes us come alive.
Don't lose yourself to be loved by others - running to others, wanting to be loved, when they don't have the capacity to love you anyway.
(Visualising + Action) x (Self-Trust + Belief in Higher Power) = Dreams achieved!
Stop looking at yourself with past wounds rather than who you are now.
Change the way you see the world. Move from a perception of limitations to a perception of abundance.
For the last 27 years (esp. last 6 years), I was surviving; I was being humble to others. Now it's time to thrive and be humble to me and my dreams.
